Who we are

Data we collect

Vehicle data (VIN, plate, make, model, year, colour, odometer), inspection photos, instrument readings and the inspector's notes, the owner's name, mobile number and preferred language, the questions you ask the Scanno Assistant about your report, and your Scanno Passport account if you register.

Why we use it

To prepare your inspection report and send it to you on WhatsApp, to let anyone verify the report through its QR code, to keep your car's inspection history, to remind you of the next periodic inspection, to ask for your feedback, and to improve inspection quality.

Artificial intelligence

We use an AI service (OpenAI) to analyse inspection photos and readings, to write the report and to answer your questions about it. Your name and mobile number are not sent to it. The inspector reviews and approves the results before the report is issued.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We only use service providers that run the system: hosting, OpenAI for analysis, WhatsApp for messages, an e-mail service, and Google Drive for encrypted backups.

How long we keep it

Inspection data stays in the car's history unless you ask us to delete it. Report links are valid for 30 days. Backups are deleted automatically after 30 days.

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), backups are encrypted, and access is limited to the center's team by role.

Your rights

You can access, correct or ask us to delete your data, and stop WhatsApp messages at any time. Contact contact@scanno.qa or WhatsApp +974 6653 4745 and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Consent

By bringing your car for inspection and giving us your mobile number, you agree to the processing of your data under this policy and to receive the report and related messages on WhatsApp.
